Insomniac, S. Ray

Both of these collages were taken very spontaneously and without previous thought. The mall setting almost creates a leading line toward the roof or into the store, and the portrait displays the life of a typical sleep-deprived teenager.
i really the "shopper's paradise" because of the lighting and angles. and i like the lighting and the theme in "insomniac"
ReplyDeleteFor something that was not thought out ahead of time I think you have shown a great deal of talent here. The shopping mall is interesting, collage-ed together in a way that makes the viewer look up and down it again and again in order to discover something new. The male's portrait is not as successfully pieced together but I think I'd like to see it as one instead of in the style of hockney because the light is superb. The clothing and pattern coordination is very interesting. Strictly speaking, the patterns are a bit busy but again very interesting from a more contemporary point of view!
